[ It doesn't actually take her that long to get there, even stopping on the way to pick up a cold bottle of good vodka. (Wondering how they have Russian vodka here without having a Russia only makes her head hurt; she ignores the implications and just pushes back through the door and out into the night.)
She hasn't taken Steve up on his invitation for the Avengers-affiliated to move into the compound, but she's been inside it, and she knows where the living quarters are. When she finds the right door, she knocks, then holds up the sweating bottle in greeting. ]
[Yelena uses the time that it takes Sharon to arrive to pull herself a little more together before she gets here. She still looks pretty "hot mess express" but it feels a little bit better after she splashes a little water on her face.
She opens the door and smiles, the sad tiny kind that doesn't reach her eyes.]
The best kind of gram. [She says, not asking before she takes the bottle with one hand, and Sharon's wrist in her other to tug her inside her room. It's pretty sparse yet, basic necessities are there but nothing that particularly personalizes it yet.
She isn't even halfway toward the bed, where she plans for this little chat of theirs to take place, before she's opened the bottle to take a long, deep swig from the bottle. She drops gracelessly onto the bed once she reaches it, leaning against the pillows at the head of it, already holding the bottle out to Sharon for a turn when she joins her.]
Soo... [She purses her lips; she has no idea how this works.]
[ She lets herself be dragged, stomping hard on the instinct to break the hold on her wrist and fight back. There's no threat here, not tonight... not unless she says and does precisely the wrong things.
So she gets pulled inside the apartment and bounces against the bed as Yelena cracks the bottle and takes a deep swig. Hey, she won't judge; she's been there and back again, more than once.
When Yelena holds the bottle out to her, Sharon accepts it and takes a swallow of her own, deep enough to go toe to toe with any distraught Russian. ]
So.
[ She holds it back out to the other woman, inviting. ]
My name's Sharon Carter. I'm not an Avenger, but I've worked with them plenty. And my Natasha and I have been on other teams together, worked together.
[ Her smile is small and wry and crooked, but warm. ]
[She smirks a little as she watches Sharon down enough of a drink from the bottle to match her. It's impressive.
She takes the bottle back for a second go at it herself. At least it will help numb all the swirling emotions in her head- heart- chest right now.]
Avenger-adjacent. Not a Widow, though, either, yeah? [She doesn't strike her as one, anyway. There's a sort of distinct... feeling in she and her wider-net-sisters that she isn't picking up from Sharon.]
You seem more used to this part- the multiple versions of people thing. Deal with it a lot back home?

It would have been nice to have had more time. ]
But there's a version of her that's one of my best friends, in my own world. I know it's not the same, but I love a Natasha Romanoff, too.

[That made more sense in her head. Look, she's not as well-versed in all that multiverse nonsense like some of the others!]
Does your world have some version of me, too?
What is she like, your Natasha?
[Maybe that's a weird thing to ask. But she doesn't know how to do any of this.]

And I'm pretty sure that Yelena would rather have a conversation like this over some vodka. My treat.
[ Or it would be, if they had to use money here. ]

Can you come to the Avenger's compound?

Same with the Yelena I know, but not so often.
